Integrating Adobe Flex with SAP

This post is related about my experience trying to integrate Flex 3.x and SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version

Well my first option and the most natural way to go was using Flash Islands, but after a lot of time invested reading and following the tutorials. Neither the most basic nor the most complex example works. I tried using Flex 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3  In the official site its clear that Flex 3.4 its not supported.

At the end of the day and mainly cause we are using Flex 4 for this project, the team prefer forget using this native solution and use JSON instead with a ZFunction. In my opinion its a shame SAP havent upgrade this libraries for the newest Flex version, cause its a killer combination Flex 4 in the front end and SAP behind.

[updated]

The problem causing the flash island couldnt communicate with Flex was a firewall
